Meet the Fanatics

Tina and Stacy are 2 busy full time working moms that enjoy a KILLER deal and finding ways to spend those extra pennies on the “fun” things that life has to offer!  Tina and her husband have twin girls that are 12 and a son who just turned 7.  Stacy and her husband have an 8 year old son and a 7 year old daughter.  Both families juggle family time, church, working, kids school and activities, and anything else that life throws our way.  Couponing has not only offered a way for our families a way to cut back on monthly grocery bills, but it has opened our eyes to what is truly important – taking control over what and how you spend your money!

Stacy entered the world of couponing in September 2009.  She started as a way to save “just a little” and to find a way to stop fighting the weekly crowds at Walmart.  It didn’t take long for her to catch on to the game and by January 2010 was a true Coupon Fanatic!  She never imagined that gloating about every shopping trip by posting it on Facebook, playing the “guess how much I spent game” with all of her co-workers, and educating all the people in line about the “how to’s” of couponing would turn into a side job!  Her reason for starting this blog as well as teaching classes was so that everyone she knew could learn the secret to savings hundreds on their monthly grocery bill.  Before couponing, she would spend an average of $600 a month at Walmart for groceries, toiletries, and whatever else the kids managed to toss into the cart.  These days, $150 a month is plenty to stockpile the kitchen, garage, and linen closets.  She can’t wait for you to share your success stories and is eager to hear how you will spend all the pennies that you will save!

Tina never thought she had the time to coupon or that it could really make an impact on her budget. Once Stacy started texting her how she was saving 50-70% off her shopping trips, she knew she could make it work for her too! She jumped in head first and has shaved her grocery budget from $800 down to $250!  She enjoys helping Stacy teach couponing classes and spreading the enthusiasm of what a couple of  hours a week can do for your family!!

Thanks for starting the ‘movement’. I have ways to go; but even when I save $30 that I wasn’t saving before; it feels like a small achievement! Congrats on the blog and website!
